The Invited Speaker is an event from the BIODIV doctoral program where we, as PhD students, can invite a researcher selected by us to bring to CIBIO-InBIO/BIOPOLIS. Jeffrey Good is a Professor in the Division of Biological Sciences and the Director on the University of Montana Genomics Core. His research program addresses fundamental questions on the origin of species, the genetic basis of adaptation, and the evolution of reproduction. Focusing primarily on mammalian systems, his lab combines comparative and population genomic studies with systems genetic analyses of laboratory models to understand the genetic basis of speciation and adaptation.
Jeffrey will be at CIBIO from November 29th until December 2nd. During these days we will have, not only several activities for all the students to meet Jeffrey but also, events for the BIOPOLIS community.
