Welcome to the BIODIV Annual Meeting 2024!
We are pleased to announce that the 5th BIODIV Meeting will be held in person from the 27th to the 29th of May 2024 at CIBIO – Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources and the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Porto.
This year our motto is "Crossroads of Knowledge: Academia or Industry?”.
At the end of the PhD, we find ourselves at an intersection of two different paths - academia and industry. Everyone has the power to define their future, although it is not always an easy decision. We invite everyone to reflect on their aspirations and choose between the tradition of academia and the practical challenges of industry. The theme chosen for the BIODIV Meeting 2024 encourages introspection, urging everyone to consider their goals, their passions and the unique journey that each path offers. It is an invitation to embrace the uncertainty of choice, recognising that, whatever path is taken, it will be a transformative journey towards personal and professional growth.
